Jesus, our high priest, connects us to the heavenly service of God. How does our worship here blur the line between Heaven and Earth?
"But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels in festal gathering, and to the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel" (Hebrews 12:22–24 ESV).

On this Graduation Sunday, we recognize our graduating students and encourage them for the race ahead. To run toward joy, we run toward Jesus!
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us" (Hebrews 12:1 ESV).

"Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, 'Brothers, what shall we do?'” (Acts 2:37 ESV).

Jesus is the way to eternal life. He once explained this by comparing Himself to the bronze serpent Moses used to save the Israelites in the wilderness. What's the connection? Why are we saved because Jesus was lifted up on a cross?
"And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life" (John 3:14-15).

Jesus was crucified, but He did not stay in the grave. He bodily resurrected, leaving the tomb empty and giving us hope of eternal life in Him. Happy Easter!
"And [the angel] said to them, 'Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him'" (Mark 16:6 ESV).

The chief priests delivered Jesus to Pilate and stirred up the crowds to demand His crucifixion. Despite all this, Jesus had steadfast resolution to endure the cross for the joy that was set before Him. How can we have faith like Jesus in the darkest moments?
"And Pilate again said to them, 'Then what shall I do with the man you call the King of the Jews?' And they cried out again, 'Crucify him'” (Mark 15:12–13 ESV).
